Focus and Scope

The progress of science and technology, economics, education, society, and human society is very dependent on consistent energy supply. Therefore, to ensure human civilization, our community must strive to find and implement environmentally relevant results from an educational process that is socially acceptable and economically feasible to obtain progress optimally. This challenge requires systemic and holistic innovation of sustainable supply of resources, the development of highly efficient technical solutions, and the adaptation of energy systems to environmental, economic, educational, and cultural contexts and social and political frameworks to enable sustainable energy systems. Then, all of these accomplishments that implement for the welfare of humankind.

This journal aims to provide an international and interdisciplinary forum for discourse between natural scientists, engineers, social & political scientists, educators, and experts from tertiary institutions and communities that encourage innovation in sustainable energy systems. It is the specific purpose of this journal to publish papers, especially from the results of research, which cover various disciplines and make a significant contribution to the holistic innovation of this energy system with all its effects and effects on human life.

Therefore, the Journal of Interdisciplinary Research and Sustainability (JIRS)  cover papers in the complicated topics encountered:

  • research, development, and implementation of sustainable energy sources and systems, including, for example, biorefineries, carbon capture, reuse systems;
  • efficient supply of resources through cascading technology conversion from upstream to downstream, storage and distribution to sustainable end-use;
  • the development of sustainable energy and sustainable material supply systems and discourse on how to turn urban settlements into smart cities;
  • a systemic approach to linking information technology with energy technology that meets social and environmental criteria for sustainable development;
  • educational, law, political, social studies, and economic frameworks to improve the environmental, economic, and social-human performance;
  • the development of regional, national, and international scenarios and networks generally informs about the complex interactions between energy, sustainable development, and community change.

Journal of Interdisciplinary Research and Sustainability (JIRS) publishes peer-reviewed complete research papers independently, review papers, community service reports, and Investigations portfolios. What is interesting is the brief communication about the innovative approach. From time to time, journals cover topical topics or special conferences that concentrate on specific fields.

We partner with scientists from ASASI (Asosiasi Akademisi Seluruh Indonesia) because journal topics reflect their fields and research activities focus.
